"Morocco embodies within itself the Alliance of all our Civilizations."
The phrase "Morocco embodies within itself the Alliance of all our Civilizations" reflects the rich cultural heritage and historical significance of Morocco as a crossroads of diverse civilizations. Situated at the intersection of Africa and Europe, Morocco has a unique blend of Berber, Arab, Andalusian, and European influences that contribute to its vibrant identity. This statement emphasizes Morocco's role as a cultural hub that promotes dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among different peoples and traditions.
"Morocco embodies within itself the Alliance of all our Civilizations."
"Through its openness to the world and its grounding in the culture of dialogue, peace, and the listening to all narratives, Morocco embodies in itself the Alliance of all our civilizations," affirmed, on Friday in Fès, His Majesty's Advisor, André Azoulay.
Speaking at the opening of the Euromed University of Fès Meetings, organized under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to discuss the theme "Rebuilding trust for a united and plural world," Mr. Azoulay highlighted "the respect that Morocco enjoys within the Community of Nations, a respect forged by the response that our country has been able to provide to the challenges of fracture, the deadly illusions of denial and exclusion when everything around us dissolves, or the most fundamental achievements of our societies and civilizations that we had wrongly believed irreversible."
"Emphasized by our Constitution, the richness, modernity, and legitimacy of all our diversities are in our DNA and now hold authority in the world," highlighted the advisor to His Majesty the King in front of a gathering of personalities surrounded by hundreds of students from over fifty countries.
Recalling that he had been a member of the High-Level Group set up more than 20 years ago by the United Nations to establish the Alliance of Civilizations, Mr. Azoulay has expressed satisfaction to see that it is in Morocco and at the Euromed University of Fès that the first Chair in the Alliance of Civilizations is being created today.
"Relying on the enlightened authority of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco confirms with this Chair the continuity of its commitments by preparing the rising generations to take over, reinforcing the centrality of Moroccan leadership, and giving its best chances for a world reconciled with the universality of peace values and the modernity of the art of living together," concluded the advisor to His Majesty the King.
