Details of the Incident
The King sustained a left shoulder injury during his regular sports activities on Sunday. The fall resulted in a traumatic injury to his left shoulder, specifically a fracture of the humerus bone. Given the nature of the injury, surgical intervention was deemed necessary.
Surgical Procedure and Recovery
A team of expert traumatologists from the Mohammed V Military Instruction Hospital in Rabat performed the surgery. The medical team, led by Dr. Lahcen Belyamani, the King's personal physician, successfully completed the operation at the Royal Palace Clinic.
Following the surgery, King Mohammed VI's left shoulder will be immobilized for a period of 45 days. This immobilization phase will be followed by a functional rehabilitation period to ensure proper healing and restoration of shoulder function.
